In 2018, EASL will again offer both paper and electronic (ePosters) posters for presentation.

Paper posters will be displayed from Thursday to Saturday (see opening hours) in hall 7.2 in the poster areas 1-4: View the poster area floor plan.

ePosters will be made available throughout the congress week via ePoster terminals in hall 7.2 & 7.3, in the ILC mobile app and online on the LiverTreeTM.

What will be on offer in 2018?

Delegates are encouraged to use the ePoster connect feature on the ILC 2018 congress app to submit requests to poster authors. Arrange a ‘face-to-face’ meeting with any poster author to talk about their research and findings.

Poster presenters and delegates will meet at the ePoster desk in the EASL education zone (hall 7.2) for a discussion around the ePoster of their interest. Other congress delegates will be able to see when such meetings are scheduled and can join in at the assigned ePoster station.

Look for the ePoster connect feature on your app!

Throughout the congress week, unlike the paper posters which are only displayed on one day, all  electronic posters (ePosters) are available from Wednesday to Sunday, on multiple plasma screens throughout the congress venue, and simultaneously in the congress mobile app and on the Liver TreeTM.

Each poster presenter will be required to submit an electronic version of their paper poster.

Congress attendees will be able to meet poster presenters through the ePoster connect feature!

Oral ePoster sessions (lasting from 30 min to 1h each) provide additional visibility to selected presenters in various categories.

There will be three different oral ePoster sessions to attend on 3 consecutive days during coffee and lunch breaks and will take place in the poster pods 1-4 in the poster areas in hall 7.2.

Sessions will take place in the 4 pods in the paper poster area, exhibition area (floor 7.2) during coffee and lunch breaks on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Oral ePoster sessions are provided in a very informal set-up allowing you to come and go as you please. Each selected poster will be presented for 6 mins by their author, followed by questions from the audience.

EASL will present the latest scientific data in the field on boards on the floor 7.2  from 09:00-17:00 on:

  • Thursday 12 April
  • Friday 13 April
  • Saturday 14 April

Paper posters will change every day. There will be approximately 500 poster boards to view.

An entire row of poster boards will be dedicated to late-breaker abstract data. These will be on display from Thursday to Saturday and will not change.

Poster presenters are encouraged to be present next to their board during the breaks for discussions with delegates.

Authors will be able to keep their poster by removing it from the poster board between 17:00 and 17:30 on the day when the poster is displayed.

During lunch and coffee breaks, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) guides will tour the poster area (floor 7.2) with a group of 30 delegates to showcase 3-4 selected paper posters and discuss them with the respective presenters.

Different tours will be scheduled, allowing 2-3 tours per break. Find out more about the tour topics, tour guides and selected posters via the online programme.

EASL thanks Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson for its support.

To join a tour, come to the meeting point corresponding to the tour in front of the poster help desk (floor 7.2) at the beginning of the break.

In an effort to better promote the posters on show at The International Liver CongressTM we have implemented, two years ago, a new session showcasing the best posters.

This session, taking place on Sunday at 08:30,  is designed in a similar fashion to the general session 4 wrap-up. Key opinion leaders  will present their selection of the best posters in each of the main hepatology topics.
